You know, I stopped at this, too, when I read Pollan's article, and must have gotten distracted and moved on without fully registering it. It's a very good point.
Sigh to health care reform.
Apart from the obvious gaffe relayed in the last paragraph of this piece on texting shorthand, here's the bigger point: if you have complex, serious emotions to convey, a text message is probably not the best form of conveyance.
