Actually, my mom gets the digital age quite well when it suits her: she has no problem finding my e-mail address when she'd like to spam me with an inflammatory e-mail or cheesy forward. The main issues here would also emerge in hard copy: lack of attention to detail/lack of patience to find the relevant detail, and a sense of not having much to learn from reading the whole article. (Which we all have to evoke at some point). Dad, on the other hand, does have some digital age issues, and hence did not get that I was referring to the electronic version of the same magazine he thought I was talking about.
