“She had this one shirt, and it was a picture of a pig and it said, ‘Please don’t eat me. I love you,’ ” recalls Scott, now 31. “The way that shirt was kind of adorable was also the way that she was adorable and cute. She was really sweet and nice to everyone.”Then,
Somehow the pig shirt failed to tip him off to the fact that she was a vegetarian, and he chose a local watering hole that served mostly fried meats.

Confession: I used to own that shirt and I'm not a vegetarian. I just thought it was cute, like M&Ms begging not to be eaten in commercials. I mean, the pig is proffering flowers! Also, great colors. It was a pretty popular Urban Outfitter shirt and I know at least one other non-vegetarian who also wore one. I only got asked if I was a vegetarian a couple of times and both times by vegetarians.
In general I think it's a super-bad idea to take anyone you don't know well to a restaurant without any vegetarian eating options other than salads. But I live in California, so....
P.S. -- stop saying no one reads your blog! I'm always like "am I 'no one' ???"
