Tuesday morning roundup

Europe is thinking about selling its soul.

Sarah Palin is still--and now officially--full of shit.

Some things are merely very inconvenient, and some are truly unacceptable; 911 outages fall into the latter category. In other emergency issues: given the region's record--historically, and not just because it's Day 5--it's time to consider undergrounding. And also, making solar power affordable.

People are scrambling to save their more valuable perishables.

Richard Cohen's very touching tribute to Nora Ephron.

I like ICS--even though I'm a low-key enough user to only notice the most obvious changes--but man does it sap battery power the way gingerbread never did.
