It's true: Washington doesn't quite have the philanthropic culture of more affluent, money-status cities, and that's sort of a good thing. But so is
David Rubenstein's paradigm-shifting generosity.

caring about food isn't an evil-elitist thing.
I've gotta ask--and the
Hot Pockets made of unsound and diseased animals is the tip of the iceberg these days--why eat meat??
That you
can and should be polite without being "chivalrous" is a worthwhile observation; same with not judging people because you don't know what invisible disabilities or other challenges they do have. But hell yes I will judge able-bodied people who don't give up their seats on public transportation. And I won't
judge anyone for being obese, but I will absolutely resent you for invading my personal space.
