It's come to this

Did it have to come to this? Cleanliness is a perk now?

I've recently run into a lot of this in the grocery store. I buy a big bunch of kale every week, and my pantry is rarely without quinoa. From time to time, people in the grocery line, or the cashier, ask what it is that I'm buying and what you do with it. When I bought a couple of pounds of red peppers the other day-- a week's worth-- the cashier asked me if I had a restaurant. It generally amuses me, but I guess it is kind of sad/scary.
